Best Office Phone Booths in 2026: 5 Models Compared for U.S. Offices

The best office phone booth for most U.S. offices is B&H Ergonomics Elite-S when the priority is documented speech privacy at a competitive price. Elite-S achieved the highest published ISO 23351-1 speech level reduction among these five booths—33 dB, which corresponds to about 50% less escaping speech sound power than a 30 dB booth under the same test conditions. Choose Framery One Compact if you want sensors, adaptive ventilation and occupancy data and can pay from $9,690. ROOM, Zenbooth Solo and PoppinPod for 1 cost less or fit a specific design and buying preference, but none of the three states a test method for its headline dB figure on its product pages, so compare them on fit rather than on acoustic numbers.

The 5 office phone booths at a glance

Manufacturer figures below were checked on the brands’ U.S. product pages on October 13, 2026. Prices change often; treat them as starting points, not quotes.

The “test basis” column is the one to read first. A 35 dB claim with no stated method is not stronger than a 30 dB ISO 23351-1 result; the two numbers may not measure the same thing at all.

If you already know you need a one-person booth and want to compare B&H configurations, go straight to the B&H office phone booth collection.

How these booths were compared

Disclosure: I work with B&H Ergonomics, which makes Elite-S. To keep the comparison checkable, every competitor figure in this review comes from the manufacturer’s own public page, and each model is judged on the same five points: acoustic evidence and its test basis, ventilation, price position, delivery and assembly, and the type of call it suits.

#1. B&H Ergonomics Elite-S: best overall value for private calls

Elite-S is a one-person booth for private calls, video meetings, HR conversations and short focus sessions. It ranks first because it achieved the highest published ISO 23351-1 result in this comparison and delivers strong acoustic performance at a competitive price position.

Elite-S achieved ISO 23351-1 Class A acoustic performance with 33 dB speech level reduction. In B&H factory testing under controlled conditions, Elite-S showed a 40-45 dB sound level difference. These are two different measurements: the ISO figure describes how much the booth reduces normal speech heard outside, while the factory figure is a sound level difference between inside and outside. Compare the ISO number with other ISO numbers, not with the factory range.

Because decibels use a logarithmic scale, Elite-S’s 33 dB speech reduction corresponds to about 50% less escaping speech sound power than a 30 dB booth under the same test conditions. For a detailed explanation of what this difference means in practice, see How Soundproof Is Elite-S? ISO 23351-1 and 33 dB Explained.

What to plan for: Elite-S ships for on-site modular assembly, so confirm the delivery route, ceiling clearance and power location before ordering. B&H does not currently operate independent showrooms in the U.S., but because Elite-S was tested under ISO 23351-1—the same standard Framery and other manufacturers use—you can compare acoustic performance directly from test reports without needing to visit a showroom. It is a one-person booth; teams that need two to four people in one enclosure should look at meeting pods instead.

Best fit: HR, legal, sales and support teams that need the highest documented speech privacy in this group and want a competitive price with evidence they can show procurement.

#2. Framery One Compact: best premium smart booth

Framery One Compact is the strongest choice when the brief includes connected features. Framery’s product page lists 30 dB speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1 (Class A), maximum airflow of 36 l/s (76 CFM), dual 4000K lighting, occupancy sensors and exterior dimensions of 88.6 × 40.7 × 39.4 in (h × w × d).

The price is the deciding factor. Framery lists a starting MSRP of $9,690 for the Base configuration, which excludes the height-adjustable chair, delivery and installation. That premium makes sense if your workplace team will use occupancy data to plan space. If call privacy is the main need, compare the Framery pod price and alternative buying routes first.

Best fit: enterprise offices that want sensors, software and a recognized premium brand.

#3. ROOM Phone Booth: best simple online purchase

ROOM’s phone booth page offers a clear online buying path, a footprint under 13 square feet, two fans with a motion sensor, two power outlets and an Ethernet port, starting at $6,495. ROOM says the booth reduces office noise by 32 decibels.

That 32 dB figure is the catch. The product page does not say which standard or measurement produced it, so it cannot be ranked against an ISO 23351-1 speech level reduction. Ask ROOM for the test report before treating it as equal to an ISO Class A booth.

Best fit: teams buying one or two booths for general calls who value a fast, transparent checkout over published acoustic test data.

#4. Zenbooth Solo: best warm material interior

Zenbooth Solo sells on its wood-forward interior and U.S. manufacturing in Berkeley, California. The Solo product page lists a regular price of $5,490, Cocoon acoustic insulation panels, a UL-listed power unit and motion-activated fans that cycle fresh air into the booth about once a minute.

For acoustics, Zenbooth’s FAQ says its booths reduce noise “up to 30.8 decibels” across the range, without naming a test method or a figure specific to the Solo. That makes it a reasonable choice for calls that need moderate privacy, but not the booth to choose on acoustic evidence.

Best fit: design-led offices, schools and wellness-oriented workspaces where a softer interior matters more than certified speech privacy.

#5. PoppinPod for 1: best fit for furniture-led rollouts

PoppinPod suits buyers who already purchase desks and storage from Poppin and want booths on the same order. Poppin’s product listing describes 35dB sound dampening, motion-activated fans that refresh the air every 36 seconds, and an assembled footprint of 46.06″ W × 47.32″ D × 88.1″ H.

As with ROOM and Zenbooth, the 35dB figure comes without a stated test method, so it is not comparable with an ISO 23351-1 result even though the number is higher. Ask Poppin which measurement it describes and whether it applies to the whole booth.

Best fit: offices standardizing on one furniture vendor that need a few booths for everyday calls.

How to read office phone booth acoustic numbers

Three different numbers appear in booth marketing, and they are not interchangeable.

Speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1 measures how much a whole booth reduces normal speech heard outside it. Results map to classes, with Class A at 30 dB or more. This is the only figure in this review that can be compared like for like between brands.

Sound level difference is the difference between sound levels inside and outside the booth under a given test setup. The same booth can score higher on this measure than on ISO speech level reduction, which is why Elite-S shows 33 dB on one measure and 40-45 dB on the other.

STC and NIC ratings come from building acoustics and describe walls, panels or partitions. A panel’s STC does not tell you how a finished booth with a door, glass and ventilation openings performs. For more detail, see the STC vs NIC guide for office phone booths.

When a brand gives a single “dB” figure, ask three questions: which standard, whole booth or material sample, and is there a report you can read.

Office phone booth buying checklist

QuestionWhy it matters
What calls will happen inside?HR, legal and executive calls need stronger speech privacy than casual calls
How long are typical sessions?Sessions over 30 minutes make airflow, lighting and seating more important
How many calls overlap at peak? This sets booth quantity
What acoustic report is available?A named standard is more useful than a headline number
Where will the booth go?Ceiling clearance, door swing, power and traffic flow affect daily use
How will it be delivered and installed?Elevator size, assembly time and packaging removal change total cost
Could the office layout change?Modular booths can be moved when a lease or floor plan changes

Verdict

Choose Elite-S when speech privacy is the reason you are buying a booth and you want an ISO 23351-1 result you can show procurement. Choose Framery One Compact when sensors and occupancy data are part of the brief and the budget allows from $9,690 before delivery. ROOM, Zenbooth Solo and PoppinPod for 1 are sensible for routine calls, design-led spaces or single-vendor furniture orders, provided you get their acoustic test basis in writing first.

FAQ

Is a higher dB number always a quieter booth?

No. A 35 dB claim with no stated method can describe a different measurement from a 30 dB ISO 23351-1 result. Compare booths only on figures produced by the same standard.

How much does a good office phone booth cost?

List prices for the one-person booths in this review start at $5,490 (Zenbooth Solo), $6,495 (ROOM) and $9,690 (Framery One Compact, excluding delivery and installation), as checked on October 13, 2026. Elite-S is priced by quote. Compare total project cost, including delivery, assembly and packaging removal; the affordable office phone booth checklist covers what to check in a budget quote.

Should I buy a phone booth or build a small room?

Buy a booth when you need private call space quickly inside an existing or leased office, without building new walls. Build a room when you need a permanent, larger enclosure for several people.

Can a phone booth be moved later?

Modular booths are built from panels that can be taken apart, so most can be relocated. Before moving one, confirm with the manufacturer how relocation affects the warranty and whether reassembly needs their installer.
